Séance Media respects your privacy.

Our goal is to do more than we have to by law so you always feel safe working with us.  Here’s an overview of what we collect on www.SeanceMedia.com, why we collect it, how we use it, and how it is protected.

What we collect and why we collect it

  1. We collect any information you send to us via our contact form.  We offer this form as a convenience to our website users so they can easily ask us questions.  If you’re more comfortable using email, you can reach us directly at info@seancemedia.com.  If you’re more comfortable using text, you can reach us directly at +1 (616) 207-5787.  Please note, this is an American phone number and normal texting rates will apply.

  2. We use Google Analytics to collect anonymized data about the technology you use to load our website (e.g., browser version, screen size, computer type, etc.)  For example, we may know that an Android mobile phone used Chrome to access the website, but we don’t know that it was your Android phone or who you are.  This data is aggregated with all other users on the website so we can compare stats (e.g., more iPhones visited the site this year than Android phones, so we should spend more time testing new features on the latest iPhones.)

How your information is protected

  1. We use encryption (HTTPS/TLS) to protect data transmitted to and from our site. However, no data transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, so we can’t promise your traffic will be 100% secure.

  2. Our merchant account is Level 1 PCI compliant.

  3. We respect Do Not Track (“DNT”) settings in browsers.

  4. We don’t sell your personal information.

  5. We don’t share your personal information outside the company.

  6. The data you provide is only available to the Séance Media staff members completing your project. No one else.

  7. If we need to share your data:

    1. We’ll only do it with your consent.

    2. We will object to improper requests for information about our customers.

    3. If pressed to share your data in response to a legal matter, you will be given advance notice so you can challenge it (for example by seeking court intervention), unless we’re prohibited from doing so by law or court order.

Changes to these policies

Séance Media may periodically update this Policy.  If possible, we’ll notify you via email about significant changes to the policy.

Terms of Service

Séance Media™ offers event consulting and management services.  Using these services means you (and your company) agree to these terms of service.

Account Setup

Your account will be activated after we receive all required account information, payment receipt verification, and the conclusion of all fraud screening processes.  Providing false or misleading information of any kind may result in the termination of your account.

Services and Content

All services provided by Séance Media may only be used for lawful purposes.

All partners and customers agree to indemnify and hold harmless Séance Media from any claims resulting from the use of our services.

Use of our services to infringe upon any copyright or trademark is prohibited.  This includes, but is not limited to, unauthorized copying of intellectual property, music, books, photographs, or any other copyrighted work.  Any account found to be in violation of copyright will be paused and may be terminated pending a review in the victim’s favor.

All related equipment and devices (also known as “Systems”) are provided for authorized customer use only under the scope of the provided contract.  Systems may be monitored to ensure that use is authorized and to verify security procedures, survivability, and operational security.  During monitoring, information may be examined, recorded, copied and used for authorized purposes.  

Use of these Systems constitutes consent to monitoring for these purposes.  For example, if Séance Media includes the use of media servers or ticket scanning devices for your event, we retain the right to monitor those devices to ensure they’re being used for their intended purposes, that their batteries are charged, and that they’re running updated software.

Right of Refusal

We reserve the right to refuse service to anyone we feel does not support the values of Séance Media (Transparency, Accessibility, Safety, and Respect). Any material that, in our judgment, is obscene, threatening, illegal, or violates our terms of service in any manner may be removed or disabled without notice. 

Payment and Late Fees

You agree to pay Séance Media in a timely manner in accordance with the payment schedules posted in the agreement.  Services provided without compensation are the property of Séance Media and can be terminated or disabled without notice.  As a client of Séance Media, it is your responsibility to ensure that your payment information is up to date, and that all invoices are paid on time.  Séance Media provides a fourteen (14) day grace period from the time the invoice is generated and when it must be paid.  Séance Media reserves the right to add a late fee of 15% for every 14 days an account is in violation of this payment deadline.

Cancellations and Refunds

Cancellation of service must be done in writing by the signed representative of the service agreement. Once Séance Media receives your cancellation and has confirmed all necessary information with you, we will reply in writing that your account has been closed.

Indemnification

You and/or your company agree to defend, indemnify, save, and hold Séance Media harmless from any and all demands, liabilities, losses, costs, and claims, including reasonable attorney’s fees asserted against Séance Media, its agents, its customers, officers, and employees, that may arise or result from any service provided or performed or agreed to be performed or any product sold by your company, its agents, employees, or assigns. 

You and your company agree to defend, indemnify, save, and hold harmless Séance Media against liabilities arising out of; (1) any injury to person or property caused by any products sold or otherwise distributed in connection with Séance Media; (2) any material supplied by you and/or your company infringing or allegedly infringing on the proprietary rights of a third party; (3) copyright infringement and (4) any defective products.

Arbitration

By using any of Séance Media’s services, you agree to submit to binding arbitration. If a dispute or claim arises against Séance Media or its subsidiaries, such disputes will be handled by an arbitrator of Séance Media’s choice in accordance with the laws of the State of New Jersey.

Disclaimer

Séance Media is not responsible for any damages your business may suffer due to the use of Séance Media services. Séance Media makes no warranties of any kind, expressed or implied, for services we provide. Séance Media disclaims any warranty or merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. This includes loss of revenue resulting from delays and service interruptions caused by Séance Media and its employees.

Changes to the Terms of Service

Séance Media reserves the right to revise its policies at any time without notice.
